I bought a 2gig memory card and downloaded music on itjust fine until it started saying cant copy. I looked and the disk wasnt half full yet , but i couldnt put anymore songs on. Does anyone know why or is there something i can do to download more ????

Not sure but my 1 gig card says "can't copy file" and it shows that it'sonly about 80% full.

 

I read in another post that the 550 can only handle 1000 songs. Could that be your issue?

 

Could be an issue with Windows. Did you create a Sub Directories for different artists, or copy all of the file straight onto the disk?

At one time Windows would only allow xxs files in the root directory.

The easiest fix is let a kid do the whole thing,LOL my 15 yr old is my tech support for this downloading music stuff,i'm using a 2gb sd card for my music,he loaded approx 17 CD's so far onto the SD card via Itunes program,changing them all to mp3's then loading them onto the SD card,i've got 17 CD's on it so far,and it's just about 1/2 full
