Problem with the battery tender is that you have to pull the seat. What a pain, I wish we could figure out a way to plug it in when you get home...sometimes you don't realize the bike is going to sit for a month...that's how it is in my world anyway. I got to work and they tell me to leave tomorrow or the next day.

I've been told numerous times that this heat here in AZ is NO GOOD for these batteries as well...

Pilot, with the H/D tender you have a plug in in that stays on the bike mounted where you want it ready to go. You can do this with any tender, with a 2 wire male/ female plug connector with proper size wire. No seat removal!

The Battery Tender Plus can be had at: http://www.wallyscycleworld.com/virtualshop/OT.asp for 34 bucks. I ordered a second pigtail so my neighbor can have a lead on his scoot as well.

This charger will not cook the battery and is one of the best on the market.

My 03 Electraglide runs like that all the time .. I asked the dealer about that and he said on the newer bikes it was normal. I have the battery tender plus and like it.

Got my "Junior Tender" today and put it to work. The dealer answer the same as previously mentioned, that it is normal to show like this. In my opinion the gauges should show the middle of the scale for normal operation. But hey, I hope this is my last complain about this ride. Thanks guys for your time.

Pilot,

Wire in the Pigtail.....Then it just hooks up to it, and when riding, it hides well...No seat removal required!!!!
