Default 103" is done

Picked her up on Sat. 2/11/06. 2003 White Pearl Road King. I put it in the shop with 48k, stage 1 kit, and samson fishtail slipons..had the SE 103" kit, S&S 570g cams, starter upgrade 1.4k, SE roller rockers, adj. pushrods, and an oil cooler installed. You know this 500 mile breakin period is a tuff thing to do. I cant ever remember being passed by so many cars. Anyhow my first impressions are that at idle there is a bit more vibration, and some cam noise. I went thru the gears, to set the rings per numerous posts here, and what a difference i found in torque. Varing the RPMS under 60 mph seemed to be a challange, it wanted to do more. I did 400 miles this weekend and the last 100 will be done to and from work this week. I have no ideas what the numbers are (hp & torque) but they are definitly greater than the stage 1. I looked at the cam shoe tensioners and they were in considerable good shape for the milage. I will be getting it dyno'd after about 1- 1.5k and will be using the SERT. I am smiling now and hopefully more to come in the future.

Mike,

I really want to see your dyno results when you get it done. I'm glad you are using a SERT. They sould really be able to tweak it for you. You should be close to 100 hp with this set up if not higher. Get to riding. We are all waiting.

Good to hear you saw a big difference in the torque. I'm putting the same kit in my 06 SG and it should get us at least 20 more ftlbs of torque plus. Mike
