However, If you do it as shown , your passing lamps will stay on with your ignition switch on accessory (if the passing lamp switch is on). For instance, you stop at a park, turn the bike off but leave the radio on by turning the switch to accessory, and go for a walk. You come back to a dead battery if you didn't notice the spot lamps were still on. That would have happened to us, had I not looked back at the bike before walking away.
Someone else posted this diagram which will solve that problem by splicing into your low beam feed, as your lights go off with the ignition switch on accessory.

I think I posted the wrong diagram above...that one is for having both headlight elements on at the same time when you switch on your high beam. I can't find the other diagram, but the process is the same...You have to bypass your dimmer switch with the feed going to the aux lamps, so that they don't shut off when you switch to high beams.
