I didn't have a big problem with the colors and couldn't figure out what it was about the paint that didn't work for me. The tank looks fine--sort of a retro look; and the saddlebags with the curved paint seperation is similar to what HD is doing now. But over all the bike's paint didn't work for me. I think, for me, one of the problems is that the saddlebags are orange and the rear fender is blue--so there is no primary color for the bike, and the two-tone at the rear of the bike has the "team colors/school colors" look. IMO, the fender needs to be two-tone or, better, the same color as the dominant saddlebag color. Ditto the front fender.

I have a police model EG and your paint answered a question for me concerning painting the saddlebag latches and the same latches on the TP I have. Painting the latches doesn't work for me--if anything, the painted latches and their rivets draw my eyes to them--kind of like painting the door **** when painting a door.

However, the bottom line is do YOU like the paint??? Your opinion is the only one that really matters when it comes to your bike, and that is especially true when it comes to paint.

Thanks for the constructive comments. Harleypingman, I liked your suggestion. Even just reversing the paint on the bags would be a great improvement. I will bring a little of the red into the fenders as well.

 

I don't care for it but the again, I don't have to ride it and I didn't have to pay for it.
