I am hereby going to refer to each and everyFLHT's as just an "Electra Glide" without the crappy sounding "standard" attached. There is no need for that word to be in the name, upgraded models add the word "Classic" or "Ultra"so there is noneed for the word "standard" as far as I can see. Whos with me on this? (fade in with Animal House music from"the germans attack Pearl Harbor scene")
I've got an Ultra and love it with all the goodies. I borrowed a "standard" while getting some performance add-ons. I didn't realize how much weight those goodies added. The "standard" felt like a sport bike and handled great. Although, when it was 29 degrees out, I did miss the lowers.
Gettin a little far afield. I agree but as a sales person it can be difficult sometimes when talking to inexperienced customers. Harley still uses the word "standard" in their publications probably because of simplicity. But ,I get your drift.
