I have an 07 ultra with 23,000 on her. By the end of the year I hope to have 45,000. I know what moco says about changing shock oil. What do you say.At what miles is it bestto change the oil ? Is this a task I can do my self ? What is the best oil to use ?Will the front shocks feel better with fresh oil in them ? Thanks for the help.

If you have a MC jack to get her off the ground, do it yourself.

 

It is a pain,unless you can do it through the drain holes.When I do mine it just leaves me with a good feeling.Cannot feel the difference in ride quality.

 

My Fork Oil was almost non existent in the right leg and just under the right amount in the left leg when I put the chrome front end kit on. So I would say yes it's worth changing, weather you do it yourself or have it done.

 

Fork oil is dirty as sin at 20k. 50k is way too long to let it go.
