You can get either style left or right. bag2 44.95 bag1 39.95

I have a pair of these, just the bag1 style, no waterbottle and they are built just as well if not better than HDs

River Road makes some pretty nice stuff. I had a set of their saddlebags on my Dyna, they were nice and a real decent price.

What is this leather pouch I see on some saddle bag guards? Is this the water bottle holder and if so how is the comfort for the passenger? What all does it come with? Looks like it would come in handy for the driver for carrying a beverage.
HD makes two types with several variations within these types. These types include the saddlebag guard bag and the bag (smaller) with a drink holder. I use the larger bags (http://*******.com/55qcgx), and for longer rides especially in summer I use the left bag for an oval-shaped, insulated, wide-mouth water bottle from Wal-Mart found in the sporting goods section. It barely fits and I put some silicone glue on the inside plastic support to keep the bottle's insulated jacket from snagging on it when inserting it in the bag. It works well, though a bit tight. I put other things in the right side, namely sun screen, tire gauge, earplugs, kickstand saucer, etc.

The bags are surprisingly useful and large enough to put quite a bit of stuff. When I bought the SG I quickly installed some saddlebag guards and the bags, both for the protection and utility both afford. FWIW, I don't like the smaller type with the bottle holder because the contents in the bottle quickly heat up being exposed to the heat from the engine and the lack of insulation. Using an insulated bottle and putting it inside one of the bags, ice water stays cold for several hours in summer. On trips I bring powdered Gatorade, and at every stop top up the bottle with ice from the drink dispenser almost all stations have, then add a scoop of Gatorade and water when needed. This ice melts but keeps things cold for quite a while. It's a good system I've used for 10 years or more. I wouldn't want to do without these bags.

I just, just bought a set used off of eBay. $106 bucks, not a bad price, in Canada they are $91.95 plus tax each,$209.64 for two.
iclick, I really like your idea abought using an insulated cooler, and on my bike there is no pipe on the left side so maybe it will stay cold even longer if I put it in that side.

Have one on each side of the Ultra. Went with plain bags. Good place to stuff frequently used items or pack those last minute items. Either way.
