Default 140 on their bagger ??

Need to put a new set of tires on my scooter and was wondering if anyone has tried to go to a wider 140 on their bagger instead of the stock 130's ?????

PM and RC Components say you can put a 140 wheel on back (i think on 2002-up models). I got PM Vader wheels in 4,25 x 18 for the rear with Metezeler tires , but have not put them on yet. Will be doing it soon and let you know, but i think if PM says it is ok then there shouldn't be a problem.

I wouldn't mess with the 140 on the front, but you can put up to a 150 on the rear.

Thanks guy's i think i might try the metz 880's and put a 140 on just the rear. I guess it wont mess with the handling of the bike.

I have wore out 2 sets of ME880's (140/90-16) .About 20,000 KM 12,000 miles each set. They fit no problem. Just a little wider and they handle great. Some have said the Metzelers don't last as long as the Dunlops but personally I havn't found that to be true. I like the wet handling better.

I have Avon 130/70/18 front and 150/70/18 rear on an '06.

No clearance issues on the rear.
