Default carbon fiber panels on inner fairing

Been looking around for some way to dress up the inner fairing on my ultra, short of painting it. Don't care for the glossy look it gives.

Saw an ad for adhesive backed wood look or carbon fiber look panels. Carbon fiber looks kinda interesting... anyone done it or seen it?

I have seen what you are talking about just in the rags not in person. IMO if you want to do anything it needs to be painted, anything else you stick on there is going to look like a cheap add on. I have recently seen the introduction of the Soft Dash, looks like a complete replacement for the inner fairing. That would be interesting to see up close.

HD offered stick on trim for the inner fairing a couple of years ago in a variety of treatments. I saw this wood finish recently:

My local dealer had the carbon fiber version;the pieces comeon flat cardboard; looked like a simple peel and stick installation.

Personally, I went with a painted inner fairing and consider it the best bang for the buck cosmetic mod since I get to appreciate it whenever I'm riding the bike, unlike other stuff that I see only when the bike is parked and I'm actually looking at my bike.

Gloss is easily controlled if that's a concern. The HD stick ons appear to be well-made, but I have no idea of how durable they are over time.

Thanks for the combacks.. like I said earlier.. I'm not interested in painting..I'm looking for alternatives.
I saw the ad for the woodgrain..but I'm looking for someone who's done the carbon fiber... hard to imagine it when it's on a piece of carboard

There used to be a few people on ebay that sold both carbon fiber and wood grain kits. You might check on there.

Carbon fiber would be interesting. Good luck with your search.

I think that is the first time I have hear anyone say they didn't like the inner fairing painted. I have it and love it but to each there own.
