RE: Sewing on patches?
Local leather shop. George and Ann's AZ Biker Leather on 19th and T-bird in Phoenix. Also done in Cave Creak at the Hidaway B&G.
Check your local area for leather shops, uniform shops, tailors, and shoe repair. Ask the guys at your local dealer. Some of them may know. Prolly the service guys. Ask the local indy shop as they often have local bikers hanging around. Call your local HOG chapter rep. They will deffinately know what is in your area.
My wife has a smaller sized household sewing machine that we have put a leather needle into, and she has sewn on one of my larger patches. It was very difficult though as we are not used to sewing that kind of thing. Mosty Scout patches for my kids. If you use denim, grab yourself a needle and learn how to sew. The denim is much easier to work with if you are learning. It can come in handy, knowing how to sew.
You also did not mention where you are located, but I'm guessing San Diego? Stateyour locationas you may have another local member here stumble accross your post here.

RE: Sewing on patches?
Since you are in Oceanside, I would recommend a member of the San Diego Chaper of HOG.
He and his wife have a Leather & lace business and she handles all the patch jobs for the vests and jackets at a reasonable cost. Plus she gets them doen quickly.
Just met him on Sunday for a group ride, believe his name was Paul.
Anyway, hope this helps.
