Default Street Glide Seat

OK, what's your favorite seat to replace the original on your Street Glide? Is there one that's more comfortable yet sits you a little lower?

Default RE: Street Glide Seat

I'm 5'7 3/4" w/ a 30 inseam. I got the HD "reach" seat when I bought my SG two weeks ago. It was the least expensive option when compared to the cost of aftermarket seat that would sit me lower.

I didn't expect it to be comfortable & wasn't thrilled about sitting closer as well as lower. The goal was lower...

Well, I have to say I've been pleasently surprised! Sitting lowerhelps a bunch, but I still don't "flat foot" it all of the time. I will say that this seat is quite comfortable for me to sit on (don't know about extended rides yet) when I compare it to my last Corbin on my old Suzi. On top of that, I do a lot of two-up riding, and both the daughter & gf like the additional padding on the back when compared to the Corbin.

On the SG, I'd say that form is not that good with this seat. It doesn't look really cool...but it functions well, FOR ME!

Remember that seats are very personal. I consider myself lucky to find anything that performs exactly the way I want, especially for the right price.

I am also looking for a new seat for my Street Glide. A popular choice seems to be the Sundowner. Ican't seem to finda Sundowner seat with the Street Glide stitching which fits an '08. Only '07 and older.

I'm a 32" inseam and the stock seat feels perfect to me. Also a lot more comfortable than the Sporty seat I came off of. Haven't ridden anything longer than around 1 1/2 hours straight, though. Wife also says the stock seat was really nice for the passenger - again, this was on a 30 minute ride.

I have heard good reports about Mustang...tried them out at bike week...just ordered one.

Now I'm looking to do a custom seat. Looked at CC Seat website...appears they do a nice job...any experiences or recommendations appreciated.

Check out C&C seats. They sit you back and down 1.25". That's a sporttour on my glide...
