Well if you really want to get into the ampacity of a circuit, the round number for fusing a cicuit is .707 of peak load capacity (heat capacity - aka ampacity) . However the term is generally associated with wire ratings and you don't hear that term used much is low voltage DC circles. Ithowever, is used in PCB design and NEC wire ratings I was an electronics technician for many years and I am a computer engineer. I was just trying to give you a hard time and pull your chain a little.

Don't know about "Honda" electric suits. We have Gerbing's which is:
Gloves, Socks, Vest, Pants
Add that to high powered passing lamps, headlight, radio, etc. and STILL - No problem. Only thing that you have to remember is to not crank up the latte' maker at the same time
Seriously - you should have no problem with your 45 or 48 amp charging system.

For some reason when you plug in a honda heated suit it changes the sound of the pipes to resemble a sowing machine.....but it seems the best honda accessory for a HD, is a bike cover....works every time...
