Default Dresser exhaust heat

After doing a search on this subject, and finding that it has been beat to death, I did not find an answer to my question. I have a new '08 Ultra. My first concern with the exhaust is the heat. My second is what optionsdo I have. I am not looking for advice on true duels. There are enough posts on those. I am looking to find out how the heat is on 2 into 1s.Do the 2 into 1 pipes help get rid of some ormost of the heat on the bottom of my leg?

P.S.As soon as I get a picture that I like, I will change my signature picture.

My 2-1's are not hot. Course I got rj's original heat shields and stage 1 that helped with heat also, plus up here in VT it ain't all that hot anyway so maybe I'm not a good one to ask

pipes dont do much for heat its mainly the tuning. epa now mandates that mc manufactures meat polution standards so harley tuned em lean 14.7-1 afr u got to get it richer witch most guys do when they add air intakes and pipes .theres a nightrider device that will get u down to a 14.2-1 afer for about 60 bucks or u can do it right with a sert or pc111 or thundermax. benn alot of debate on wich is best but it is illegal for your dealer to set the sert any richer than 14.7-1 althuogh most will richen it up some and some dealers like to charge for a couple hours on the dino when all they do is put in a canned map so im a little shy about the sert.
