What is the best way to go about having cell service in Sturgis, I have nextel and understand it won't work. Is tracphone the best option?

I stayed in Rapid City and had service on my Nextel. My ATT cell phone did not work. My friends sprint did work. I never really tried to call anyone while in Sturgis though.

I have Sprint. Won't work past Sioux Falls. Friends have Verizon and theirs work. Personally, I look at it as a blessing.

Had Sprint a few years back and it didn't work. The last time was with Verizon and no problems

Verizon works fine in Sturgis, but not so good in the southern part of the Black Hills. I carry my Verizon cell phone, but its always off and in my saddlebags....just for emergencies. The Wife carries hers and makes some calls.....they usually put up a temporary tower right in Sturgis to handle the call volume.

I have ATT/Cingular and have no problems for the last 5 years. Reception is great in some areas, not so good in others. Nobody from homehad any problems reaching me, especially at the Full Throttle late at night.

Cingular works ok, but Verizon has more coverage out there.
