Default Exhaust/Fuel Mgmt question...

hi all,

'05 ultra currently all stock. Have read with interest a lot of info on pipes and fuel mgmt and have a couple of questions.

1) I am leaning toward the V&H dresser duals and turndown slipons with a fuelpak. I know a lot of people go with the pc3, but I have no intention of changing the engine's internal components, and the fuelpak seems idiot proof, so I would think I would be safe. Is this a DIYer project? I can do the simple things, (fluids, brakes, plugs, wires) but that is about the extent of my mechanical abillities.

2) And this is the primary question.......Do I have to have a 'stage 1' download done by the dealer? Is it necessary to do or just something that HAS to be done?

As always, thanks for the help

Default RE: Exhaust/Fuel Mgmt question...

the fuel pac is very simple to use v&h have a good tech dept.
if all you are going to do is stage one fuel pac should do well.
anything further than that you may want to look at something with more tunability.
powercommander, race tuner,or auto tuners are getting more popular

(2) i think a stage one is pipes and hi-flo air cleaner
