it all depends on your riding style if ya do 500 miles a day the adjustable is worth every penny if ya run to the bar and back a fixed is just fine

RE: Rider's backrest
I have an '08 Road Glide, bought the non adjustable backrest and for me it was a waste of money. Pushed me too far forward and was very uncomfortable. I'm 6'1" - 230lbs. I messed around trying to adjust the base plate, modified the base plate - still didn't work. Finally just took it off and now itsits on the garage shelf. Went with a Corbin Classic solo with driver's back rest (adjustable) and it works great. Anyone want to make me an offer on a great non-adjustable HD backrest??

RE: Rider's backrest
I had the H-D backrest with the factory seat and it is tolerable but not great. I now have the mustang vintage solo with driver backrest it fits the bill for me as I am completly satisfied with the setup. I am 165lbs and 6'2". If you decide to go H-D I will sell you my backrest it was $209.00 plus tax the mustang with removeable backrest was $409.00. In the long run the mustang was money better spent. The H-D backrestfits my body at an aquard position and feels like it is pushing me foward. Spend the coin on a mustang you will not be disapointed. Hope this helps you, Britt
