J&M Corp offers excellent shorties. I've done some business with there ellectronic stuff and have been very satisfied with what I've purchased:

One of the only times I got screwed on ebay was shorty antennaes. The seller bought them at Auto Zone and resold them on ebay as "shorty Harley antennaes." Although the one for the radio would cause no problems if used, the CB could be screwed......

Thank's for the replies. I may just try cutting the one I have for now. Is the 13"s from the ball a crutial measurement? I am tired of walking into the antenna anytime I am near the rear of the bike damn thing is like a mosquito!

I'm having a helluvatime finding a shorty. I want a 9" shorty so it will not extend through the luggage rack. BTW, I have an 08 RG. The stock antenna is tapered flexible has a ball on the top and is connected to a rubberish flexible base. Cutting it wouldn't work.

Anyone else know where to find a 9" shorty? Or anyone else solve the problem of the antenna and detachable luggage rack conflict?

Get rid of it and put one in the fairing. I did mine today and it works great.
Plus it cleans up the rear end and I don't have to worry about it taking my tour pak on and off.
