Default EGC Owners...

Oh I'm just full of questions today.

Checking out the detachable option for the TP. Would like to have that option of removing it for short jaunts, and putting on a detachable passenger backrest for the Mrs. when she wants to go on the shortjaunts. However when it comestothe docking kit, I see that there is a docking kit made specifically for the detach 2-up TP, and another seperated. kitfor the detachable passenger backrest...

So, is it one or the other and that's it?

Meaning, the docking kit for the detach 2-up TP can not be used with a detach passenger backrest, and vice versa?!

Or am I confused on this one?

Thanks

That is why I almost got the EGC over the SG. I stuck with the SG cause I didn't like the higher ride of the Classic and the bling on it. Great looking bike though. I'd pop off the back though for short rides

Yup...Both kits because you need the rails on the TP AND the backrest...Also, the docking connectors for the TP are at the rear of the fender and the docking connectors for the sissy bar are at the front of the fender.....I have this exact set-up....Takes two minutes total to uninstall TP and install sissy bar[sm=smiley20.gif]

Thanks Dawg,

So I'm not confused after all.

I'm thinkin that this might fall into the "that kinda sux category".

Two seperate docking kits??? Well unless somebody out there has another answer. Kinda looks like this,,, if the Mrs goes on, so does the TP....

So Fisherman,

Do you have two "seperate" docking kits installed on the bike at the same time which allows you to swap from TP to PB with no trouble at all?

How do ya do that???

BTW Your set up is exactly what I'm trying to achieve, and oddly enough on the same color bike

I've got both on my Eglide standard and they do not interfere with each other at all. I use the backrest/luggage rack setup around town and the tour pac on trips. It takes about 2 minutes to change the setup either way.

O.K.

I get the convenience of being able to switch out between the TP and the Passbackrest.

Just wondering how one istalls two seperate docking kits that stay on the bike that allows you to swap out between the two pieces....

Fisherman ??? Houndog???

Thanks

I have a question, hopefully Dawg can answer.
On the fitment chart the 2-up TP rack and the solo TP rack are different #,
Can the TP w/2-up rackbe used solo if the seat is changed to a solo seat,(w/ the solo docking)
or does the rack need to be changed to go from 2-up to solo?
I'm trying to learn.
Thanks
