I got my 08 Ultra Anniversary last September and put 2000 miles on it before winter. Was at the dealer two weeks ago and saw another anniversary with the anniversary seat.....mine came with a plain black seat, that I hadn't noticed???? Dealer ordered me the Anniversary seat and installed it today. Took a 100 mile ride and my a$$ about fell off. Took it back to the dealer and had the plain black seat put back on. Sometimes a factory screwup is a blessing in disguise!!!!!!! lol

 

I've got both. They are the same except for the copper insert. Maybe you don't have an Ultra Classic Seat. (Not that it matters if it is comfortable for you).

 

I swapped mine for an Anniversary Road Glide seat....much happier.

 

I don't know which seat may have been put on from the factory in place of the Anniversary one but the seat that came on the bike feels more plush and softer?????????????? It just FEEELS so much better on my butt.
