Chrome looks better. Plus, over time, black will get chips from rocks.

bought my SG with the per intention of blacking out the front end. after seeing one other redish bike with black front ends, i changed my mind to chrome. have seen another bike in the forum with the color match front end that was red and it rocked!! check out the SG pic thread for it

Why stop at just the front end, do the bag supports, handlebars, footpegs and floorboards as well

I think it would look excellent. Chrome and black contrasts seem to compliment each other. Too much or either seems to much for some.

Here's one of my bikes and my attempot at black and chrome. Didn't do the lowers but did do the chrome trim around the headlite and the handlebar clamp. The engine was at one time blackened too. So was the S&S carb air cleaner cover. Might have to put it back on. Just put on Super "E" recently from a Super "B".

While I like black, I vote for "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"... especially if your chrome is looking great

My bike is black pearl. I, too, have thought about blacking out the chrome. Not sure if I should do black, black chrome, or black pearl powercoat... or just stay chrome...I haven't seen a black pearl bike with a blacked out front end... any pics out there??
