I too have managed only a couple hundred miles on my SG. I was in the same boat as you are. I got the Fastaire 9" and it really does the trick. I am 6' and can still easily see over it. What I also like is they are only $39 shipped so you can havea couple different sizes for different riding situations without too much expense.I think I am going to get the 12" clear for extra protection on longer trips. They store flat when not on the bike so they are easy to store.
