To powder coat the rim like you want would require a powder coater to strip the existing powder and/or clear coat, degrease, clean, treat and powder coat the wheel in the color you want. I'd shy away from any powder coater that would shoot fresh powder over the old finish. There are several ways to keep those little tabs bare. That would be up to the powder coater you have do the job. If you go with a gloss color for the wheel I'd recommend having a clear powder top coat added to seal the bare aluminum tabs. That'll keep them clean and corrosion free.

I've attached a pic of a well used brake rotor we did to give you an idea of what the stock rotor would look like done up. It would complement the job done on the rim, that's for sure!

Does anyone know if the lips are clearcoated in stock form?

Still need to know if the wheels are clearcoated stock? Clearcoat powder, paint, or not from the factory?
