CONGRATS and good luck with it.

I also used the 5.00 auto zone antenna and it works fine.
Problem was doing the surgery on the stock antenna to get at the threaded part that the antenna screws onto.
You may here there is a set screw and it screws off, mine did not. They did in 07 maybe some 08.

If you are getting cruise it may be a good time to add the hidden amplified antenna. Id tell the dealer since I just bought a bike from you and the front fairing is off anyway add the antenna. NO CHARGE SUCKA!
It may be a good time to buy grips as well since the switch housing will be apart.

I had the dealer install the right grip only since the housing was apart to install cruise. I did the easy side.
I did not think of adding the antenna at the same time cruise was added. I'm bad,

ORIGINAL: caymen8

Great looking bike! Rather than a short antennae, you might consider the inside-the-fairing type. I did that on my RG - cleans up the back end and the reception is still great.
Where can I find that?

The part is made by Dakota Digital. You can buy one from Mile High Harley Davidson in Denver - they'll ship anywhere. Their number is 303-343-3300.

Nice scoot.

Let the spending begin.

A set of T/D Rineharts would look good.[&:]
