I just got back from talking with the service dept here in Wichita. The service rep wasn't much help, so I asked (nicely) if I could talk with the service Manager. He pulled up the Dino that was done when they put all the parts on the girl. The tech's say they set everything in the middle. The service manager wants me to been the Girl in Saturday to check her out. The manager didn't say anythindg about more cost and if they does, I guess we will talk some to work out some deal. If this doesn't help and I may any how go get the AutoLite Plugs and try them to. I like to ride and It is not just the money, but getting what you asked for. For $2200 I should at least get what they said I would get. A little more power and keep the MPG the same or better and reduce the heat too!. I do thank all for the help and please keep it coming. I traded a Goldwing on this bike. I love the way she rides. She fits my a$$ alot better too!

I called my dealer this morning and will be dropping my 08 Ultra by this afternoon for them to retune tomorrow. They asked what milage I am getting, told them 31-32 with ugly black spark plugs, they told me they should be able to get it up to 40 without loosing much of the power gain from the stage-1. So there must be a lot of room to tweek the race tuner, and still not run as hot as stock.

I've got an 07 ultra, I put tru duals on, SERT,SE air, I went from 40mpg around Kansas to 34mpg. I've got lots of power, but I like mpg also. Should I have the girl re-tuned or is theresomething else that should or could be doneOn the re-tune. Will I need the pay the Dino cost again. What ajustments can be made at the lowest cost. I'm about out of myallowance.

As others have said, you add performance parts and your fuel economy will suffer.High flow exhaust with high flow intake will require the use of more fuelto keep you from a lean condition. With that said an experienced tuner should be able to make adjustments to give you back some fuel economy by making adjustments in the RPM range where you live at cruising speed. Performance upgrades donot equal economy, higher horsepower and torque numbers require more fuel.
Unless the service dept is in a giving mood I would not expect a free custom map. I would however think that they would treat you right for service after the sale.Custom maps can take a lot of time.

Angry Tuning

Here is a kick in the crotch...
Two bikes taken to the same tuner
World Class tuning in Watertown MN, aka Mike Rolland who is also Kuryakyn's performance parts Manager.
Bike 1 is a 2005 Road King, 95ci, SE flat top pistons, 9.8:1 compression, Big Boyz ported heads, Andrews 37G Cam and S&Sgears.
Last tank of gas 33MPG easy driving = about 37-38 MPG
Bike 2 2006 Street Glide 95ci, SE flat top pistons, 203 cams, no headwork and no compression mods.
last tank of gas 45 MPG and has hit 48MPG

In general, make more power, use more gas.
