RE: Street Glide Red Rear Turnsignals
I found that too, Harleypingman.
"69462-06A
Fits '02-'03 XL, '02-later Dyna® (except FXDXT), and '02-later Softail® (except FXSTD/I) models with stock bullet-style turn signals. (NOTE: Does not meet DOT standards when installed on '04-later FLHRS, FLTR, FLHTCSE models, '05-later FLSTN and FLSTS models, or models equipped with Bullet Rear Turn Signal Bar Kit P/N 68615-04 or 68617-04.)
So legally he is giving me company policy.

I was told by the parts man at my local dealership that I can't put the Brakelight/Running Light Kit on the Street Glide rear turnsignals. That it's illegal because the turnsignals are too close to the tail light. If I had the wide turnsignas like the FLHT it would be fine. This is in Virginia, has any one else heard of this?

In Europe (where I live) it's illegal too.
No cop ever pulled me over.
Just go for it [8D]

I got the same information when I tried to buy the kit for my Street Glide in Virginia. I told them to sell it to me anyway and I installed it. I rode in Virginia with those lights for 25k miles without any problems. I even rode in DC without issue and you know how they are...

I was told the same thing in Utah. I went down the road to another dealer and bought it without telling them what bike it was for, just rattled off the part number. It's simple to install (and I hate working with anything that involves electricity). I've had it on the RK Custom for 3 years. 2 pull-overs by police (one in Utah, one in Michigan) and neither officer said a thing about my lights being too close together.
