Make sure you download it as a DATA CD,that's all I had to do. I get about 150 songs to a CD and it plays every song just fine. I used Limewire(for free) to download the songs to windows media,and I used the windows media to find info for all the music so they are all tagged with the proper title and artist.

 

I had issues when I first started burning, the trick is you have to burn the disc as a data disc.

 

Some times it works, sometimes it says "bad disk" I use same format as you do. When it says "bad disk" I eject it out and put it back in and it will work fine. I don't get it!

remember, the higher the quality, the more space that each song will take up. being on a bike, with the wind noise and exhaust noise, you can go with a lower setting on quality for more songs on the disk.

and as has been noted before, burn as a data disk, not a music disk, as some programs will reconvert the mp3 back to native format.

 

I've made a disc with about 100 songs and it works fine, that is until I remove it. Put the same disc in later and get a disc error. Throw it in the trash, burn another and all is well.
This has happened on 3 out of the 6 disc I've made, maybe its the format or the Maxell disc I'm using.

I still don't get it,I have never had one single problem with any of the CD's I have ever made for the bike radio. Knock on wood I guess.

 

Being technically challenged, will these methods also work to copy by CD's to a USB memory stick? I have a Sony radio/player on my EGS which plays CDs/Ipods/USBs.

Totally blown away with all this info. Is there any way to isolate this thread to your desktop or elsewhere that will update and make it available upon demand? I have an IMAC and never knew it was this diverse?
