Jump the battery..or do a quick charge....see if that doesn't at least put more juice to the system as to get her to roll over.....mmmmm...maybe I'll try that on the old lady!!

Man, Dawg, I'm really bummed out if you are perplexed on this! It sounds like a switch to me, but what the heck do I know. Nothing.... Let me know what you find out. You've got the techs at the shop, and you've got a world of info. What in the world do I do? Look at it this way. It's better that it happened now, then when you were on your trip! You have been protected, my friend.

Best,
J

Trade it in...............time for a new ride.

LOL

The only time my bike has done that, is when the battery cables have come loose. Once I tighten them up, it would work fine.

Well since it is under warranty let the dealer have it.
But just for giggles do what the above said.
But if the headlight is bright and doesn't dim when you try
to start, forget the battery and the cables. Not likely that.
What does the volt gauge read ignition on / and trying cranking.
Takes more amperage to crank the engine than it does to turn the light on.
Your problem is most likley either the wire to the solenoid (small wire on the starter)
not making a good connection or the starter itself.
could be a faulty solenoid or bad spot in starter, or the starter is a little loose.
Starter grounds itself via the mounting bolts. Or a solenoid stuck in the engaged position.
Try this if you want ,put it on a jack put in gear, turn REAR wheel by hand back and forth.
This should free up a stuck solenoid (if that is the problem). Then try a normal start.

Checked the batt on the multimeter and got a 13.6 reading, checked with the multimeter at the starter and got about the same reading. Didn't leave GPS on as it has been out of the cradle and locked in the tourpak. I'll try chooch's solenoid theory next. Still nothing as of yet.[:@]

If you have a momentary switch, you can jump from B+ to the Starter solenoid and get it to crank that way. (You can do it with just a jumper wire but it tends to arc the connections) If you do that that will eliminate everything but the starter itself.
Good luck

spin wheel to see if the starter was stuck, didn't work. There is only one single click that you can hear in the relay itself then silence when you hit the start button so it is not like it is even attempting to turn over or anything. I just know I am gonna kick myself in that *** after I end up trailering it all the way to the dealer and finding out it was sumpin stupid![:@]
