Gas Mileage with a 124" Hotrod Bagger
Well...yesterday I took a little jaunt up to a local swap meet and measured my gas mileage on the way up. At 100 miles I refilled the tank and it used approximately 2.68 gallons for the ride up. That's an estimated37.31 miles per gallon with a hotrodded 124" bagger running with a Tmax and a big inch map. I'm fairly impressed given that i'm agressive on the throttle and still manage that kinda mileage.
[sm=bounceybounce.gif]Now for the cost of Gas = .14 cents per mile. Ouch!

That's a perfect example.... even with the BIGger motors, when properly tuned, 40(+) mpg should be avg....
I've been getting roughly the same on my 120", even riding 2up. A lot of it has to do with how aggressive one twists the wick though...

look at the tables in the crusing range and back some fuel out....like 2500-3200 rpm at 5-15% throttle

I don't think I'm anywhere close to 40mpg, more likely 35mpg---I'll do a scientific study Wed or Thursday.

Lyn -> You don't count! The 40mpg rule applies to "normal" riding! [8D]
Rod, Bryan is right... If you have any questions give John a holler or I might be able to help ya too.

I got 43mpg on my 113" last I checked good mpg is doable on a bigger motor and I think the pro tuner helps a lot on mine. But that seems good on a 124" for sure.

What makes you think Rod's problem is any different than Lyn's?
