Default anyone with ALL docking points, backrest/trunk

Any of you guys have all 4 docking points, as well as both a tour pack AND a detachable passenger backrest?

If you do, here is a question:

If you removed the pad from the tourpak, and removed the pad from the detachable backrest, could you fit BOTH on the bike at the same time? Or would the tourpak interfere with the backrest mounting up?

On my bike it wouldn't work as the tour pack and the backrest use the same front docking point.

Next, why?

Ah, ok, I wondered if they shared a common mounting point. Wasn't sure.

As to why? IF it would have worked, so that I could have a chopped tour pak, but be able to attach a passenger backrest with a taller backrest (would be custom fabricated) to keep the wife happy, yet be able to change to a lower backrest when she's not riding so it didn't look stuipid. Nothing shorter than the backrest on a king tour pak is high enough on her back to make her comfortable, so the backrests on a chopped pack (even if I mounted the king backrest) would be 3 inches too short for her comfort.

So.... looks like if I want my chopped tour pak, I'll just have to have both sizes.

Actually, I THINK they used to do it that way. (in the 80s) The passenger backrest was not attached to the tour pak like it is now. It was on its own support, and the tour pak was bolted on the bike behind it.

Chopped tour pak is a waste anyhow. Just get the King and be happy! Or, Get the detach backrest with rack and attach that silly little chopped tour pak to the rack. It'll take somealteration to the bottom of the TP but should be do-able
