The 17" Clearview works good, but if you want shorter, a glass company
cancut any shield as short as you want. I've experimented with shields
that were cut lower than 17" and they sucked at highway speeds, so
good luck.

Default RE: Shorty Windshield for RK?

Forgive the noob question, but what is the stock size of a Road King Classic, say 2003? I see a lot of references to length in inches, some bikes (w/ ferrings I guess) talk about 4", 6" etc., and some talk about 17" give or take....

I don't like looking under/over the stock windshield on the 03 RKC, it sits right in my line of vision. I'd rather have consistent view of looking through or over. I'm 6'1". I'm thinking the stock is high enough to hide behind if I wanted to do that sort of thing, so maybe I should try one a little shorter, but maybe not too short, so as not to get the buffeting you guys are talking about?

Let me know what a good rule of thumb is, and what my baseline should be to compare measurements against, if you don't mind....
