Do you guys install your Kuryakyn parts, or does your mechanic?

I absolutely hate Kuryakyn, their fit and finish is garbage, the stuff breaks, the threads always need chased, etc.
I just notice that everyone here seems to praise them, and having spent plenty of time dealing with their parts I was thrilled when we stopped ordering their garbage due to the poor quality.
BTW, do NOT put too much in your tour pak if you have one of their relocators. It will bend, sag, and trash your taillight housing. I only add this because I know how popular this item is.
just a rant from a new guy.

Been puttin' Kuryaykn Accessories on bikes for 13+ years... And have only had a problem once and there customer service corrected the problem in a short time...
Having owned a Motorcycle Accessory Store and Shop (in the past) - We sold a ton of Kuryakyn Parts

Man, you have had good luck. I won't deny that their customer service fixes the problems, but when you have as many as we have it gets to be a pain in a hurry.
It is a large volume shop, but I am just seriously disappointed with their stuff (and have been for years). Of course it is aftermarket so some trouble is to be expected.
Like I said, just my experience... I'm glad you have good luck with em!

Personaly I don't know why people take and put all those fake chrome tin covers on their bikes? You go and buy a tin cover to coveran item you should be taking to get chromed? They add weight and trap heat to any bike you put them on, take time to put on and off, therefore costing you money everytime you have to do some kind of service, and I think most of them look ugly. But that's just my .02
