Contrary to what the eBay add states, those will not fit an 08. Axle size changed.

 

If you read the "Description" it may be that the shipping is not free because the Seller states:
"E-mail me for shipping quotes to anywhere in the US or Canada." Yes, it does say "Free" shipping at the top of the listing. So there is a contradiction. Also, I'd be sure to have insurance on wheels--they are heavy and can be damaged in shipping.

Better get clarification from the seller before bidding or hitting BIN.

I just bought a set of silver (no chrome) stock RG wheels from bobzilla, a member of HDF, and mounted them on my '04 EG--very pleased with them and Bob did me RIGHT. So I agree that it is a nice change; just be sure of what the deal is before bidding.

 

Just sent them an email asking the axle size.. What makes you think they are 3/4" ??

Even so.. you can change bearings etc. to fit..
Someone will want them even at 3/4".. I betcha... :&lt

 

They are not 3/4", they are 1". In '08 the front axle was changed again, can't remember off the top of my head what it was changed to. Physically it is a different looking axle also, the '08's are hollow on the front.

I'm sure someone will want them. It's a decent deal depending on shipping. Just shouldn't be stated as fits '00 - '08. Makes it sound like it would be a direct bolt-on, and I don't believe it is.

I am going through this right now. The axle on 08's is 25mm plus there are some spacer differences. You need the wheel install kit for the 08's. They run $69 each wheel retail and are on page 686 ofyour 08 P&A catalogue.The wheels are allthe same once the bearings and spacers are removed. I have been looking for a set of thesefor some time and can tell you, I have passed on many that went in the low 200's, just missed on a set that went for $152 with tires, got my computer booted two minutes too late after watching those things for 7 days, damnit!! $300 is kinda high, just sayin... I got lucky, finally found a guy that wanted to trade silver for my black ones....

Emailed the seller and got this message back...:

These wheels are 1" alxes. The earlier rims from 1999 down were 3/4 and 00-up were all 1". Either way these can be retro-fitted to an earlier style bike. Thanks
