Take a look at this one. I have it its made of parachute silk so it is tough. Have to watch hot pipes but i cover above pipes then drop the rest of the way when cool. It packs small too.

For touring try the HD seat cover, I know it doesn't cover the entire bike but it does keep the saddle from getting wet with either rain or dew. I find it very easy to travel with. For at home, I have a full cover by HD, you could probably take it on a trip, but it's bulky. I have mine on an 05 RG.

I'll second Papa's choice. Exigent makes a great cover that folds up real small. I've got both the Seat cover and a full rain cover, plus one for the wife's trike.

I use the XL from cover from Wally world cheap $40.00 folds small and is very durable,

BTW you can just fold the antennas over towards the front to put cover on with no problem no need to use cut outs.

I have been using Ultra Guard's half cover for many years. It has a soft interior fabric that goes over the shield, but the rest of the cover is very light weight.

See: http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/de...ring_____Cover

It has withstood many a rain and wind storm, and has traveled with me for many many miles, and has never ripped or worn at all. It is very easy to stuff into the accompanying sack...and packs small. It fits both my GL1800 and FLHT w/detach pass backrest & rack. Good product.
