I have been looking a while on ebay and such. I thought it would be great to have some tunes for long trips. Seems that used ones are hard to find.
I was wondering if anyone has seen any specials or deals around?

Look at Firebagger / Tsukayu. Quality, lockable, fiberglass,and reasonably priced (as aftermarket fairings go) You can get them unpainted, and stero ready delivered for$880. You can add from there with them or DIY and save. Othyerwise stay on the bay,craigslist, and other trader publications and wait for one in your budget. Unless someone trades their bike or crashes they aren't many used ones.

I'm in the process of redoing the frontend on my 1999 Roadking. I'm going back to the removable windshield. I have a Hoppe Quadzilla fairing, 4 speakers. It is painted in/out a custom Cobalt Blue. There is very slight damage to the outer fairing, left side, from going down. The size of the road rash is about 3" diameter. Resin will fix this. There is a Dakota Digital, oblong, tachometermounted just above the radio. The Tach was about $290.00. The fairing, two years old, was $1500 and change. Connection is standard three wire, positive, ground, coil. I have two windshields for the fairing. I "think" they are 6 and 8". I live in northern Virginia and will be putting the fairing on ebay shortly. I'll initially list it for local pickup only.

 

Just another idea...google search "road king fairing craigslist" or something like that. I found my Dragonfly(newer version/not used) that way for less then half price. You might get lucky.

Not yet, but if I do find a super good deal on one I'll make sure I don't tell you. Just kidding.. I'm looking for one also, but I think I'm going with the one Hammer has.

 

I looked at a few of these in Daytona duringbike week. I wound up bitting the bullet and spending the big bucks to get the Quadzilla. I know there are some out there for a lot less money but I saw some issues with them. Fit and finish type things. I like to buy American when I can too.
