Hello All,

Just took the plunge and ordered a 08 SG standard (no options) in Dark Blue. I have two questions:

1. Will the stock seat off an 07 fit the 08? I hate the ***** looking seat the 08 has in the front. If so if anyone wants to get rid of one let me know.

2. Does anyone know if they make a clear (not smoked) laydown taillight for the SG.

Sorry I am a noob coming from an 07 Yammi Road Star Midnight Silverado to the harley world. I had my own metric customizing business but now it seems I have to learn bikes all over again. Any info would help. Thank you.

I really like the 08 seat. I have heard the 07 wouldn't fit

 

no the 07 seat will not work on the 08 due to the new larger seat. the 08 seats dont have the metal tab underneath them to lock the front in.

i think i remember somebody saying they do make a clear laydown taillight for the 08's but cant remember were. hopefully somebody else can answer that question for ya.

 

No the 07 seats won't work on the 08 bikes. HD redesigned the way they mount. As for the clear laydown light I think Kuryakyn has one and you can also check with J&P Cycles which should have them also.
