Default GPS/XM to the dash

I'm wantin to hook the Garmin 2730 in to the dash (AUX In) on the Ultra so the XM and GPS will come inon the head set, the one i just got at Radio Shack(even though it's a mile too long) gives me no Audio, there has to be a special cable or sumthin??? Does anyone else do this? and how does the XM sound. Could use a little help here.

The radio has to be set to AUX for audio to pass, whether XM or voice prompts from the GPS. The cord does have to be a stereo version and not mono to sound right or at all!
I use a Zumo 550 so I am not real sure of parameters for the 2730 but I wuold think it's not all that different.
I don't have XM (yet) but the vioce prompts and the MP3 both sound real good.

2nd Above... I have the same set up... XM sounds great!

I am assumming your running the xm ant. to your garmin unit... and then running a headphone jack cord from your garmin to the aux in right? should work if the stero unit set to aux...
