Default Willie G. Skull Collection (Air Cleaner)

I don't see an air cleaner "trim". All I see is an "insert" to be used with the football-style factory air cleaner. I want to have an open-element air cleaner (chrome backplate). What are my options?

Thanks,

Frank

For my Live to Ride insert at leastit fits with the round SE air cleaner. Just set the football cover aside, screw the insert right over top the round SE air cleaner and you've got an open air element. The football can still be put back over it during rainy season too.

I can email you a pic if you like.

There is a screw and screwhole on the Live To Ride one. There isn't on the Willie G. one.

The Willie G should still fit, it comes with a bracket that mounts to the center bolt hole.

Do you mean like this -

All you do is put the air cleaner trim on without the football cover. I have the Chrome Ness Big Sucker backplate also.

That is exactly what I am looking for. Is that the Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage I kit?

It is the Ness chrome stage 1 backing plate, I use the Zippers 320cfm air cleaner with it for more flow.

Steve,

Thanks. Your air cleaner looks like it is black. Is it? Would you mind PM'ing me part numbers for those two parts? Will the red Arlen Ness Air Cleaner be the same size?

P.S. I do not see a kit on the Arlen Ness site for the '08 SG...

Thanks,

Frank

AN18-512 For 2008 Touring Models only- Chrome Backing Plate

The stock Ness filter is the same diameter, just shorter.

My Zipper's filter is actually red (from the oil) and is about 5/8" taller then the stock ness filter..........and flows a lot more air.

Did you have any issues with the screws being too short? I tried this tonight without the football over a K&N filter from Fuelmoto. The screws are too short!
