Default mud flap w/oil cooler?

I've notice since the installation of the premium oil cooler that I hear rocks hitting the chrome cover on it. If I put a front mudflap? on it, will it affect the oil coolers preformance? Or am I worring about nothing? I don't care for the looks of the mudflap.

Default RE: mud flap w/oil cooler?

I do not use a front mud flap on my Ultra with the oil cooler. I do have a small amount of damage to the fin's onthe oil cooler but everything else looks to be holding up. Using a mud flap would probably reduce the air flow and pebbles to the cooler somewhat, but I'm sure it would be negligible on limiting the ability of the cooler to do its job.
