Default Hydralic Floor Jack for Glides

I just purchased my 2008 Electric Glide (she's sleeping in the garage). I want to purchase a hydralic floor jack and I'm looking for some recommendations. I've heard that some have the cross bars right in front of the oil drain plug (what good is that..). Can anyone recommend one that they wouldn't live without for working and moving their bike in the garage? Thanks.

Agree 100%.

If you change your own fluids, get the drain pan option & you won't be sorry. It really works well.

J&S PERIOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unless you want to buy a lift table. IMO. Dan I have never used the optional drain pan. A large plastic salad bowl fits nicely in the jack and it's a lott easier to clean. $.97 at Wal-mart

Do a search. You'll find more than you EVER wanted to know about lifts and jacks.

just to start a ruckus,

I have the $59.00 Red Sears Jack, it works fine. And I have $300 more than the J&S guys to spend on beer!

Seriously, everybody will pile on about the Sears Jack, but I am telling you, mine works fine, never had a problem lifting my bagger at all, it is entirely stable, and if you use the locks (as everybody should do) it will take any unnecessary strain off the hydraulic pump.

I am going to duck now so all the jack elitists can throw mud all around.
