I am 5'11" & I have the 12.5" mini apes on my RKC. I cant tell you how comfortable they are. I love them. I some times wish I had gone to 16" just for a little more aditude.

12.5 Wild 1's on my bike. 6'2" and they fit me well. Beware of cheaper bars and ask around about quality. Wild 1's are tops in my book. I have heard some people did not like the Kury's because they felt cheap and light weight. I believe they are imports. Ask around.Check out wild 1's web site and you can see pictures of each bike with different sized bars.

I'm not a fan of them, but to each his own.

I know I wouldn't like them, shoulder surgery would keep me from them. As long as the apes are out of control tall, they look good on a non-fairing bike.

I had beach bars on a fat boy and they made my back hurt.

Apes on a King look sick, many different styles. For long distances though, your arms will get tired. Most get used to it. I actually went w/ 12.5 baby apes on my SG. Looksgood, arms don't get tiredandmore comfortable than stock.

16+ in. apes for looks, 12.5 in. for comfort.

I have a set of 18" gorilla bars I am 6'1" so I beleive height plays a roll for sure but I love them and like many said many people knock them because of fear they think you have no control but my apes brought my hands up out of my lap I love them wouldn't ride a bike w/o them
