I have converted my SG to a Road Glide front end and am having trouble installing the speaker grills and speakers. I have the Hogtunes speakers but can't understand how the speaker grill attaches to the inner fairing and then how the speaker attaches to the grill? The grill has 3 holes which seems to attach to the inner fairing but it's not lining up. Seems like I am missing some parts? Bike is an 06'. I tried to attach pics but the file is too large. Can anyone post some pics and offer any help with this install?? Thanks......

While I have no experience with HogTunes, I seem to remember their site have detailed instructions. I do know that the stock speaker grill is attached to the inner fairing and the speaker attaches to the inner fairing, not the grill itself.

It says to "Clip the grill to the speaker, then mount speaker to fairing

 

The Hogtunes install sheet is for the batwing faring. That's the procedure I used on my Street Glide. The speakers don't clip to the Road Glide speaker grills? Man, this is driving me nuts trying to figure this out!! Maybe I can give Pez a call in the morning and see if he has the answer?

 

I think there is a adaptor piece that screws to the fairing and the speaker screws to that. I'am pretty sure the speaker isn't touching the grill.
