Default Just did a tune

I just did a fluid change, spark plug change, and I retuned my PCIII. I have always heard of the 0 throttle but I never did it. I was so impressed by the initial change from stock to pcIII that I didnt think the 0 throttle would make a difference. It does. There was always a slight sputter (very slight) when I took off, I thought it was just a Harley thing, but I did the 0 throttle and it went away, it runs much better. Just thought Id give my personal experience.

My throttle actually read 3% at 0% throttle. I "told" the powercommander to change my idle to a 0 instead of 3 and there you have it. There is a tutorial on the powercommander site that tells exactly how to do it on the computer. Definately worth it.

Setting your throttleposition is a must when installing a PCIII. Your throttle position is shown in % and if it is off at 0 throttle it will be off all the way through the rpm range. While in the PCIII software, with the bike hooked up and idling your throttle % should read 0. The PCIII map works from throttle % and rpm to give the map settings. A little off 0 and the whole map is a little off. Detailed instructions for setting can be found on the Power Commander web pages.

Ride Safe,

Mike

When you set the throttle position does the bike have to be warmed up to operating temp and also running? Thanks.
