The parts manual does say the wind deflectors won't work with lowers, but they do, and they work well.Check the front of my bike on my signature picture, as well as the attached pictures. I did have to adjust my spot lights after installation, as they were thrown off when adjusting the brackets to mount the deflectors to get clearance by the lowers. Many people make the mistake of mounting them backwards, by attaching them to the wrong fork.

I have about 1/4" of clearance when the forks are at full lock, as shown in the picture.

I bought a used black one for 10 bucks....the best 10 bucks i ever spent.

Yes because the motor needs all the airflow it can get. the deflector is only for rider comfort

I have the black one on my '07. I must be the only guy on the forum that noticed no change in air flow. Glad it didn't cost much.

Got one of my '05 EG Classic and the air is so smooth I can smoke a cigar while riding.....that's with the fork baffle and a pair of the chrome wind deflectors as well. Makes for a great wind-free 'zone' that goes out to the edges of my gas tank
