Seems I stripped the threads out of the hole that the adjustment screw goes into. I have no idea how what 90 in/lbs feels like and this damnn new torque wrench obviously doesn't work. Is there an any way to fix this? Please help. I've had the worst luck trying this servicing stuff.

I agree, with the conversion being such a low setting for a ft/lb wrench it sounds like you went over the top if you feel the need to torque your common adjustments spend the money get a good torque wrench inch and foot lbs and a little fyi when not in use always back the tension off your torque wrench it helps keep it somewhat true.

Ken, this won't be the first "challenge" you face doing your own work. I'm pretty sure every wrench type here has been through the same kind of situation when they first lifted a tool. It's called "experience" and you don't get it without doing it. I myself have screwed up onceand paid the price. If you screw up the same way twice you need to question your ability. Otherwise, take your lumps as they come, follow the manual, and keep at it, try to keep the screw ups minor and cheap. You will be OK!

You got it Ken. Keep trying, never give up and carry your credit card at all times. Maybe next time we should post this in the Religion Froum. I've done many stupid things that have cost me money to my bikes over the years. Ain't no thang.
