Default Front Brake Noises?

Im not sure if it is just a thing with the dual front discs or if my bike has an issue, but there is an audible sound of the rotor turning through the caliper/pads as Im riding. More noticible at slow speeds and/or low rpms. Anyone else ever experience this? Maybe swap out the pads and it will alleviate the sounds? Just curious. Thanks.

is it a typical whish whish? the pads should be making contact and you'll get that -- could be dirt or dust if it is really loud- -

Jack up the bike and rotate the tire and see how much resistance there is with the pads rubbing. Might need to be taken off and pushed back in and bleed the system?

Nature of the beast. I've had a s*#t pile of touring bikes, and everyone has that "swish swish" sound. CHEYENNE is right though. Double check the movement of the front tire off of the ground. As long as it spins by hand, and you don't have any trouble pushing the bike, you should be ok.

Thanks for the advise. I will check it out with the wheels off the ground. As far as I can tell, there is no excessive resistance when rolling the bike, but rather just the noise. Could be some dust or something that got into the pad material. I will let u know what I find.

As far as the break squeal, mine did it severely right out of the showroom. At the 1000 mile service, the dealer reversed the pads on both front rotors and now it only squeals if I back up to park, but I can live with that. After 5000 more miles, it hasn't changed. So, try flipping your pads around.
