Congrats, whatever you did as long as it makes you happy, thats all the counts.

Share the details if you want, but it's between you and the dealer as far as I can see.

You riding what you want to ride is the most important thing.

hey blue book on your bikr is $17125.00. the street glide is $16520.00 forget about the add on. those his loss. if you really want the bike i would go even steve, but dont add cash, unless that is in your comfort zone..
good luck
cb
...once again that silly "Blue-Book" makes it's way into a discussion....throw that freakin thing away...it is totally useless when it comes to dealers....use NADA, or don't use anything...dealers only use Blue-Book to show you what a "deal" they are giving you on the unit they have,...then they whip out the little NADA book to pork you on your trade-in...as an adjuster, if I ever used the Kelly Blue Book to set a value on a total loss, I would be unemployed real quick...

Just got to home comp. guys (sorry). Here we go- spent whole morning (sat) haggling back and forth. Dealer telling me what a hot bike S/G is at auction (like i care) and how difficult it is to sell the flhrs (moco took it offthe08 line-lack of sales, according to them) Me telling them "I dont give a sh*@#t, im giving you an07 (with 2792 miles)for 06(5102 ml). Anyway finally came down to,my bike+500 +purchase of extended warranty and they installed the stage 1 kit in the06 S/G (it only had screaming eagle slip ons before, i assumed the stage 1 was on it). Overall ive made better deals in past as well as worse deals, as far as ext. warranty i was gonna purchase it regardless. Beleive it or not kinda miss my road king custom. The S/G seems to vibrate more (and not at idle), the mirrors seem to be having an earthquake when im riding.Heard alot of youtalking about front motor mounts earlier hoping this is the problem, didnt have on single issue with my FLHRS. Bottom line is am i glad andi made trade ,truth is i believe so,S/G is AWSOME (except for vibration hopefully motor mounts, fingers crossed) but just to early to tell thanks guys great forum. Afterreading all thisif you still have energy left, maybe you guys can give me an idea of what you think that shaking (not as smooth as flhrs) is

sorry to say it but going backwards & paying $500 + the ext warranty (100% markup for the dealer) just makes no sense. he should have paid you $500. Bitch and moan about the vibration.......the bike should be smooth. Just curious 96' vs 88", 6 speed vs 5 speed, .........why?

"Why ask Why" cause its there. Thanks IZZI will check that. Had 5 speeds whole life, there fine with me, green 6 was nice but not as big a deal as those who dont have it think it is, to be honest with just the sg.1 and pipes seems about even with my 07. Just my .02
