Carb models are somewhat hard to find.If it was a carb model I would probably trade but no cash.Would have to have a real good look at bike and records

 

It sounds like to me you are trading down, not up. I wouldn't give any money to boot on that trade, but it's what you want and what you are willing to spend.

not to hijack. but i am looking at the same deal. with my 07 road king classic to an 06 ultra
the blue book retail and trade values are about the same. but we all know that the trade value is less than the retail. so a dealer would give me about $12,000 and the 06 ultra would be (retail) $17,000. the dragon fly sounds like a good idea but its just dont have $2000 laying around to do that. yeah i know, if i am going to get another bike and it cost me $2000 for the differance. it doesnt add up. time will tell

 

I am the world's lousiest salesman. I took a beating when I traded a few months ago to trade up to a new bike. On hindsight, I should've at least tried to sell my old bike outright and then went in and bought the new one. My 2005 Heritage only spent one night in the dealers floor before it had a new home. You know the dealer made at least $4,000 on that trade.
