600 miles! Sounds like 1 or 2 days of riding! How long you had that bike anyway? Just kidding. Maybe put a few more miles on if you can and do the service before you leave.
I like this suggestion. Ride it some more and then do the change before your big trip.

Before. Just make sure you get it out of the shop a couple of days before your trip to make sure they buttoned everything up ok etc.

Thank's everyone for all the Reply's!..appreciate it!!...now 600 miles on an 07 you ask?..wrecked the Road King last Sept.,broke my leg and got skint up a bit,as for the bike bent a down tube and tweeked the neck a bit,Insurance gave me a choice..fix or total?,King was a 98 and I had been looking anyway,They cut me a check went stright down a bought the new one(still on crutche's)....after a surgery and alittle rehad time I'm ready to "Rock and Roll"[sm=biker.gif]

If there is a dealer in route to where you are going, call ahead and see if they can get you in and out in a reasonable amount of time. That way you know everything is seated properly, + the extra time on the bike can help you determine what doesn't feel right (if any) so you can address them at the 1000 mile check up.
