Where did you mount your GPS?

Where did you mount your GPS?
This is my first Poll. [8D]
It seems to me that it really would be safer to put a GPS unitin the middle, front and center, of the handlebars;yetI seem to be observing that most of you put it out near the grips where you have to move your eyes off the road to glance at it. No matter where the unit is, you have to move your hand from the grip to modify anything on the unit so it really shouldn't matter from that perspective where it goes.
I would like to see if and how many of you mounted the GPS in the center near the clamps instead of out at the grips.
Also, do you have pics of it in the center and your thoughts on it?

RE: Where did you mount your GPS?
Well, I assume you're speaking of a RK mount...here's the link to how I mounted mine on a FLHTC, It may help some....anywhere in the middle, line of sight would be better than taking your eyes off the road, things can happen real fast....be safe all.

Kuryakin makes a nice mount that replaces the gas cover door for those bikes that have one. Looks much better in person and with the GPS mounted.

RE: Where did you mount your GPS?
Got a Zumo 550, it came with the ram mount. The handle bars stick up higher on the left than on the center. Much easier to use the unit on the left than in the center. Don't have to take my eyes off the road as much. The old lady can see it and help me while I'm driving with it on the left. She likes to watch the GPS while were moving. She is a great help with it when I'm trying to go somewhere. It only takes a second while and riding the edge goes over the edge.

RE: Where did you mount your GPS?
I took the cheap way out and use a $3 handlebar mount on the left side with a $150 gps that i use in my truck. I do not use one enough to justify an expensive model. I know where i am going 90% of the time and i want to be able to mount or remove in seconds. Not much to replace either.
